I think of Oddling Spider as the gentle shy creature. His large, shadowy body rests above long sketch-like legs, while a pale round face, bright eyes and a tiny smile soften his silhouette. Gold stars and a crescent moon keep watch over the quiet meadow stems, lending this little scene a friendly midnight hush.

I hope to pass a little of that quiet wonder from my imagination into your making. I picture him on Halloween decorations, a favourite tote, a cushion or a framed hoop, perhaps keeping company with well-loved books in a cosy reading corner.
